System Constituency: Who We Serve
Today is Constitution Day. 238 years ago, our founders signed the document that created the incredible system of government we live under. So today is a good day to reflect on that system, and the three simple, powerful words it all starts with: 'We the People.'
It doesn't say 'We the Democrats' or 'We the Republicans.' It says 'We the People.' It's a blueprint for a collaborative system, where we work together to solve our shared problems.
In my career as a System Engineer, I've lived by that same principle. When you face a complex challenge, you bring the team together, you analyze the data, and you build a solution that works for everyone. There is collaboration and consensus.
But when I look at Washington, I see leaders who default to finger-pointing, name-calling, and demonizing their opponents. They're not trying to solve our problems; they're trying to divide us.
There are too many serious challenges facing our families to waste our time fighting against each other. We need to get back to the work of fighting for each other. That's the work I want to do for you. For all of us.
