Weekly Sprint Report #7: The Path to Victory
In this week's sprint report, I'm taking you behind the scenes on the campaign trail. This week was all about engaging with the grassroots of our party and seeing the democratic process up close. We knocked on more doors, and I had the privilege of attending a Legislative District 4 Democratic meeting, where I met my fellow Democratic candidate Rick McCartney.
We also heard back from the NEA this week. While it looks like they may lean toward another candidate in this crowded primary, I'm incredibly grateful for their time and consideration. It’s genuinely refreshing to see an organization run a thorough and thoughtful evaluation process prior to providing an endorsement.
My number one goal has always been to ensure this district flips from red to blue in 2026. I've seen a petition circulating that suggests candidates who don't meet certain metrics should withdraw. While our new campaign likely doesn't meet those metrics yet, it raises a critical question.
I'll be researching the data to answer the question: does a crowded primary actually hurt our ultimate chance of victory in November? I'll share what I find in next week's report.
Thank you for being a part of this honest and transparent effort.
